USA (Boston Preferred) / Product / Internship Product Manager - Summer Intern

Join us as a Product Management Intern at a fast growing, venture-backed company!

Who we are.

Juno is the first collective bargaining group for financial products. Since 2018, we've saved our members nearly $40M in interest and fees on their student loans. Now, we are expanding our suite of products to include insurance and auto loans!

We are backed by some of the country's top Venture Capital firms (NFX, GFC, Pear) as well as the founders of SoFi and Earnest. Learn more about us in TechCrunch or Yahoo Finance.

Why join?

We're fixing an enormous problem (opaque and uncompetitive pricing of financial products) with an innovative, yet simple solution. We use group buying power to get providers to compete with each other and offer the most affordable products to our members.

We are hiring a Product Management Intern to help us scale our offerings. You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with a fabulous team as we scale our student loan products. In parallel, you’ll have the opportunity to own either a new product or a section of the conversion funnel!

If you choose to focus on the conversion funnel, you’ll use data to come up with creative, needle-moving experiments. You’ll apply user-centric methodologies to learn more about our members and how they behave. Finally, you’ll communicate with engineering and design to drive implementation. If you choose to take ownership of an entirely new product, your responsibilities will expand even further.

In this role, you’ll:

Own performance of a section of our conversion funnel, for example, referrals.

Work closely with the team to contribute across the entire product.

Using qualitative and quality methods, identify user pain points, prioritize problems to solve and make product decisions.

Drive a high velocity of experimentation, using clear decision making frameworks, and learning from experiments to compound wins with subsequent tests.

Build and maintain reports, models, and visualizations that provide insight into user experiences and business performance.

Lead engineering and design efforts to build experiences across the member lifecycle.

Collaborate with the engineering and marketing team to set up or configure tracking and analytics products that will shed light on member activities. Use this data to create actionable campaigns to drive member engagement and improve cohort performance.

Represent the voice of the member to provide input into every core product, marketing and growth strategy.

Who you are.

You have a demonstrated interest in product management. You are excited to take on responsibility and are eager to roll up your sleeves and hustle with the team.

You have experience with some subset of product management responsibilities. For example, you have a technical background OR you have deep analytical skills OR you have user research experience.

You are detail-oriented and notice the little things, such as anomalies in data and speed bumps in the user experience.

Ability to assess opportunities and results and story-tell to present hypotheses, synthesize findings and share next steps.

You have experience working with distributed teams and can manage your time.

You possess exceptional written and verbal communication, planning, and project management skills with individuals at both peer and management level.

Entrepreneurial spirit towards problem-solving and an eagerness to tackle product strategy and execution in new product areas as our organization and business needs mature and change.

Open to feedback, curious and a team player.
